Deadly Moreland Avenue Shooting Leaves Man Slain Near Gas Station

A late-Saturday shooting along Moreland Avenue in southeast Atlanta left a man dead near a gas station, according to Atlanta police.

Officers were called to 1401 Moreland Avenue SE, where they found a man with an obvious gunshot wound, Atlanta police told WSB-TV. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. A Channel 2 photographer on the scene reported crime-scene tape in front of a gas station. Police have not released the victim’s name or any suspect information as detectives processed the area.
