DeKalb County police headed to The Gallery at South DeKalb on Tuesday evening after callers reported shots fired, according to authorities. Officers and investigators were on scene at the Candler Road shopping center working to piece together what happened, and as of Tuesday evening officials had not said whether anyone was hurt or released information about any suspects.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, officers were dispatched to the mall after the reports of gunfire and the DeKalb County Police Department confirmed it was actively investigating the case. The station reported that details remained limited while detectives canvassed the property and collected evidence.

The Gallery at South DeKalb sits on Candler Road not far from Interstate 20. Leasing materials put the complex at 2801 Candler Road in Decatur, and the property is marketed as a neighborhood retail hub for south DeKalb. A sell sheet from Mason AM lists the center’s address and tenant lineup.
