A late-afternoon fight near Hamilton Park in Scottdale turned into a shooting Tuesday, sending two men to the hospital and jolting a neighborhood that leans on the park as a community hub.
The gunfire erupted just before 5 p.m. in the 400 block of Glendale Road, where officers arrived to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds and arranged for them to be taken to nearby hospitals. One victim was reported to have moderate injuries, while the other was listed in serious condition, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. Officials said the shooting followed a physical altercation at the scene.
