Two South Cobb High School students are in custody after a gun was found in a student’s backpack Thursday.
Cobb Board of Education Chair Randy Scamihorn confirmed the incident to the Journal Friday, saying the firearm was “not used as a direct threat to the school,” students or staff. The weapon was discovered and the situation was resolved early Thursday morning, Scamihorn said.
