ATLANTA — It’s been nearly five years since an Atlanta woman and her 3-year-old dog were found stabbed to death inside Piedmont Park.
After a recent homicide at the park, where a 16-year-old girl was shot and killed on Saturday night, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said that the 2021 death of 40-year-old Katie Janness sparked change to add more security cameras within the park to increase safety.
