A man wanted in connection with a violent attack in metro Atlanta was taken into custody Monday morning in Troup County after a coordinated response involving the Georgia State Patrol and other law enforcement agencies, according to an updated statement from the Georgia Department of Public Safety.
Authorities say the arrest happened on April 13, 2026, after Troop D Communications issued a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) around 10:53 a.m. for a 2025 Volkswagen Jetta traveling south on Interstate 85 near mile marker 30. The BOLO stated the driver was suspected in a murder in Brookhaven, Georgia.
