ATLANTA — For the past two weeks, drivers have been warned about the closure on I-285 between Cascade Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive — and this weekend, the traffic backups showed exactly why.
Traffic along the I-285 northbound exit onto Cascade moved slowly as semi-trucks and heavy congestion created bottlenecks stretching back onto the interstate. Some drivers said they waited between 15 and 20 minutes just to get onto the exit ramp itself.
Still, many people caught in the traffic said they support the construction efforts and believe the work is necessary…
