Man texts ex-girlfriend “I’m about to pull up” before killing man giving her ride home

A Decatur man will spend the rest of his life in prison after prosecutors say he shot and killed a man who gave his ex-girlfriend a ride home from work.

The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that a DeKalb County jury found Aaron La Var Beckles,49, guilty in the murder of Isaac Jackson Jr., 47.
