ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Five people were taken to the hospital on Saturday after a boat exploded on Lake Lanier, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
At around 8 p.m., game wardens were called to Land Shark Cove, where they found paramedics treating several victims. Authorities believe the boat’s hull blower, a fan that vents dangerous fuel vapors from the hull before the engine is started, didn’t start, leading to the explosion.
