ATLANTA — Authorities are investigating after a person was struck by a train early Wednesday at a MARTA station in southwest Atlanta.
Atlanta police said the incident occurred around 4:43 a.m. at the Garnett station. Officers with the Atlanta Police Department responded to reports of a person hit by a train and, upon arrival, determined the individual had jumped in front of the train.
Emergency medical services and fire crews were on the scene, along with investigators from the department’s Collision Investigation Unit. The individual’s condition has not been released…
