Fiery Choctaw County crash claims lives of Georgia man and woman

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency released the names of a Georgia man and woman killed early Sunday morning in a fiery crash in Choctaw County.

John M. Green Jr., 19, of Smyrna, Georgia, and his passenger, Savannah E. Davis, 21, of Temple, Georgia, were pronounced dead at the scene on Choctaw County Road 24 near Land Road, about 3 miles west of Butler, Alabama, according to ALEA.

Troopers said the two were fatally injured when their Chevrolet Corvette left the roadway, hit multiple trees, overturned and caught fire. The crash happened about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, authorities said…
