ATLANTA — For years, drivers passing through Atlanta’s historic West End saw the same man sitting on a bench near the corner of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard SW and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard SW.
Now, those who knew him are mourning after family members confirmed that Terence Cobb died after being struck by a vehicle at the same intersection.
Atlanta police responded to the crash about 7:30 p.m. May 12 after a report that a pedestrian had been hit near the intersection, according to the City of Atlanta Police Department. Police said the driver remained at the the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Cobb died at Grady Memorial Hospital. His official cause and manner of death are still pending…
