Meta Launches $115M Workforce Academy, Creating New Pathway for South Carolina Workers to Enter AI Infrastructure Jobs

Meta has announced America’s Workforce Academy, a new $115 million training initiative aimed at preparing workers for skilled trades careers connected to artificial intelligence infrastructure, data centers, power generation, and electric grid modernization.

The program could offer a new opportunity for South Carolina workers as the state continues to attract major investments in advanced manufacturing, energy infrastructure, and data centers, including Meta’s first South Carolina data center project in Aiken County.

The academy will be offered at no cost to participants and is designed to help trainees move quickly into construction and infrastructure roles.
