AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Hundreds of middle and high school students are gathered this week, as the Alliance for Fort Gordon hosts its annual Cyber Patriot Summer Camp.
“We’ve been putting on this camp since 2019 and we started with just 16 kinds and today’s camp has 172 youth between the ages of 10 and 17,” said Dr. Tom Clark, president and CEO for the Alliance for Fort Gordon.
While many summer camps focus on sports or the arts, students at the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center are spending their week learning how to protect computer networks, identify cyberthreats, and solve real-world cybersecurity challenges…
