Local nonprofit helps CSRA families navigate type 1 diabetes, including Back to School Bash

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) — As children head back to school, one local nonprofit is helping families navigate the challenges that come with managing type 1 diabetes.

The Eliot Foss Foundation provides practical support and resources for children and teens with type 1 diabetes and their families across the CSRA.

Founder Caroline Eliot started the organization after her son, Elijah, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at four years old.
