AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Travelers flying out of Augusta Regional Airport should plan for parking changes over the next several months as the airport temporarily shuts down one of its main long-term lots for construction.
Airport officials say Long-Term Parking Lot A is now closed for about three months while crews complete a rehabilitation and expansion project. During the work, the airport’s primary parking capacity will drop by roughly 350 spaces.
The project is aimed at meeting growing demand for air travel and parking at AGS, and at keeping up with regular facility maintenance. Once this phase is finished, Lot A will reopen with about 50 more spaces than before…
