Expanded amenities for USC Aiken are on the horizon, chancellor says

  • USC Aiken Chancellor Dr. Dan Heimmermann announced plans for a new campus master plan to transform the university into a more residential, student-centered environment with expanded green spaces and potential public-private partnerships for housing and retail development.

AIKEN — During a State of the University Address on Sept. 9, USC Aiken Chancellor Dr. Dan Heimmermann shared yearly anticipated enrollment data and updates on university projects and initiatives.

He also spoke about efforts to make the campus more “residential,” a topic he introduced briefly around a year ago when the college’s strategic plan and 2030 goals were shared in October 2025.
