AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A Virginia-based defense contractor says it will cut 77 jobs tied to intelligence work at Fort Gordon as contracts transition.
Amentum has filed a notice listing a permanent reduction in force, with the first separations expected Oct. 31.
According to the filing confirmed by 12 On Your Side Investigates, the affected positions include:
- 27 guards
- 22 computer operators
- 17 alarm monitors
- An access-control specialist
- An administrative assistant
- A program-projects manager
- a program-project supervisor
