The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says 30 of the 145 people arrested during the 45-day operation were identified as suspected criminal street gang members.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is breaking down the numbers behind Operation Wildfire, a 45-day enforcement initiative that resulted in 145 arrests while targeting violent crime, gang activity, drugs and illegal firearms.
The operation ran from July 22 through Sept. 5 and involved the Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit, along with other specialized divisions.
