CLARKS HILL, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Clarks Hill Lake water levels are unusually low for this time of year, exposing hazards closer to the surface.
Chris Norman, vice commodore of the Augusta Sailing Club, said the low levels have created new dangers on the water.
“It’s dangerous. There’s stumps that are sticking up. There’s shoals that we don’t expect to see. Places we normally sail where there’s plenty of water, we’re seeing islands that were down about 10 feet vertically,” Norman said…
