Georgia Girl, 3, Who Died After Spending Night With Mom in Freezing Woods Was Dressed Only in Onesie: Police

A Georgia toddler who died after allegedly spending the night in the woods in sub-freezing temperatures was wearing only a onesie, according to police, who have charged the child’s mother with murder .

Alina Paschall, 3, died after police found her, another child and their mother, Uriha Ridge, in Douglasville, about 20 miles west of Atlanta, on Jan. 16, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s office .

Police accused Ridge of taking the girl “into the woods in freezing temperatures, clothed only in a onesie, in the rain for an estimated 8-10 hours causing the child to become hyperthermic,” they stated in an arrest warrant reviewed by The Messenger.

The other child, a 7-year-old boy, was also “not dressed for the elements,” said police, who received a call about a woman and her kids lost in the wooded area near the Foxhall Resort where they had been staying.
