A man who was 16 years old when he was charged with murder in what was later determined to be a gang-related shooting has been sentenced. Jamarius Walker was previously indicted in 2020 for the murder of 21-year-old Anthony Geter, before prosecutors were able to link the incident to gang activity. District Attorney Jared Williams says his office’s violent crimes and gang unit, which was established in 2021, was able to re-indict the case, this time adding four charges of criminal street gang terrorism.
