Walker sentenced in 2020 Hephzibah murder

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – A man has been sentenced in a 2020 murder in Hephzibah.

Jamarius Walker will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Walker was was sentenced to life in prison plus 20 years, Thursday, after he was found guilty of the 2020 killing of Antonio Geter Jr .

On April 13, 2020, investigators responded to calls of shots fired in the area of the 2500 block of Tobacco Road, just after 10 p.m.

Once there, deputies located Geter suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Eisenhower ER where he pronounced dead at 11:01 p.m.
