Georgia Burglar in Sticky Situation Gets Stuck in Building, Soils Himself Before Police Rescue

The suspect tried to claim he entered the building to escape being kidnapped

A man in Georgia got stuck in a building while trying to commit a burglary and soiled his pants before calling the police to help him get out.

Police received a call from Brandon Thorne just after midnight on Jan. 24 saying that he was trapped in a building in Augusta.

When deputies arrived, they found the 22-year-old on the 15th floor and discovered he “had feces on the back of his pants and left some on the furniture he had been sitting on,” according to the Augusta Press .

The deputies also found shattered glass on the floor, which they believe may have been his point of entry into the building.

Thorne initially told police that he had entered the building to try and hide from two people who were trying to kidnap him. However, when he made it downstairs, he admitted that there were no kidnappers but still would not say why he was in the building.

Police charged Thorne with criminal attempted burglary, a felony. He was booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center and has remained in custody with a $5,700 bond.
