AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Augusta firefighters responded to the scene of a fire at a local apartment complex, Monday.
Crews were called to the Terraces at Summerville Apartments on Hickman Road, Monday morning.
Once there, they rescued four people and a dog from the upper windows and balconies of the building. The fire was reportedly blocking the halls and stairs.
Richmond County EMA officials say that everyone is safe , and no injuries are reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
