RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A Performing Learning Center student was taken into custody after authorities say a knife dropped from the student’s pocket.
According to the Richmond County School System, a RCSS police officer was performing a routine check in a bathroom during lunch at the Performing Learning Center, and the officer saw the knife drop from the student’s pocket.

According to authorities, the police officer investigated and took the student into custody.
According to RCSS, the incident is being addressed by RCSS Police in accordance with the Board of Education Code of Student Conduct and Discipline.
