As of 6am Monday: A VIPIR 6 Alert Day has been issued for the potential for strong to severe storms, heavy rain from 2″-5″ that could lead to flooding, and gusty winds around 40 mph. Low pressure tracking east will continue to provide heavy rain and storms during the day today and beginning to die down later tonight. Winds will begin picking up after 7pm from 15-20 mph with gusts to 40. A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect from 7pm tonight until 1pm Tuesday afternoon. Sunshine returns Tuesday with highs in the low 60s.
