Multiple Arrests and Convictions in Southern Georgia for Firearms Possession and Drug Distribution

Several individuals have recently faced charges for illegal firearms possession and drug distribution, as reported by officials from the U.S. Attorney’s office.

The following indictments were announced in February:

1. Devon Daniels, 25, of Grovetown – Illegal Possession of a Machinegun and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

2. Matthew Lacey, 26, of Savannah – Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

3. Justin Anthony Brown, 32, of Augusta – Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Lacey had previously faced the same charges in November 2023, according to officials.

In January, Jacerio Maurice Famble, 35, and Aaron Jamonta Bennett, 32, both from Savannah, were charged with Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute Psilocybin and Marijuana, as well as Possession with Intent to Distribute Psilocybin and Marijuana, according to the release.

Famble, as per officials, also faced charges of Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
