A car crashed into the North Augusta Municipal Building on Tuesday, leaving a brick wall damaged.
The crash, which happened at 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Center Street, involved a car and a truck pulling a trailer, according to officials with the North Augusta Department of Public Safety.
One lane was partially closed for a short time and there were no injuries, according to officials. As of 4 p.m., the roadway was reopened.
At the scene, there was damage to a handful of bricks and the top layer of concrete. There were also skid marks on the sidewalk and in the landscaping near the wall.

North Augusta City Administrator Jim Clifford said in a phone interview Tuesday afternoon this is the second crash near the Municipal Building within the last week.
“Statistically, that’s an anomaly because I’ve been in this job for three and a half years and these are the only two instances I’m aware of where a car is transited up the sidewall and has gotten close to the building.”
