Former Alabama Commit, 4-Star OL Mason Short Announces Top Four Schools

Four-star offensive lineman Mason Short announced his top four schools on Friday. The 6-foot-5.5, 300-pound offensive lineman is from Evans, Georgia.

Short’s top schools are Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson, and Kentucky. He decommitted from Alabama on Jan. 16 after head coach Nick Saban announced his retirement.

Short is the No. 195 overall prospect and No. 10 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2025. He ranks as the No. 6 interior offensive lineman and No. 27 player in Georgia, according to the On3 industry rankings .

He earned second-team MaxPreps Sophomore All-American honors and was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year by Born to Compete in 2022. Short also earned Preseason MaxPreps Junior All-American honors this season.
