AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The U.S. Marshals Service warns that scammers are posing as law enforcement officers to scare and scam the public in the Augusta area. U.S. Marshal David L. Lyons says scammers are calling and saying they’re law enforcement officers. They’re threatening to arrest members of the public for failing to appear in court.
