McDUFFIE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A Florida man has died after an accident while working on a utility bucket truck.
According to authorities, the accident happened on Old Whiteoak Road in Dearing, Georgia, and 911 received the call about the accident at 3:45 P.M.
The McDuffie County Coroner’s Office states that Andrew Francis, 48, of Tamarac, Florida, succumbed to his injuries after being pulled out of a utility bucket truck he was working out of running a cable line.

Authorities say the cable line was being stretched across the road when a passing vehicle on Old Whiteoak Road became entangled with the cable line.
According to the Coroner’s Office, Francis was pronounced dead on the scene at 4:25 P.M.
This accident is being investigated by Georgia State Patrol and McDuffie County Coroner’s Office.
An autopsy has been scheduled with the Crime Lab in Atlanta.
