AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Former Richmond County District 8 commissioner Jimmy Smith has died, according to former commissioners. Smith was 91 years old when he died. Former Richmond County Commissioner Don Grantham says Smith was “in hospice for a while and wasn’t getting better and went downhill fast.”
