The Augusta area is getting ready to boom! Here are some upcoming 4th of July festivities

Independence Day is on July 4, but the Augusta area will have fireworks, outdoor concerts, food trucks, and other Fourth of July festivities all week long. Here’s a look at some of them:

Grovetown’s Fireworks Show is 6 p.m. June 29 at Liberty Park at 1040 Newmantown Rd. There will be food vendors, live music, and alcoholic drinks. The fireworks start at dusk.

First Baptist North Augusta’s 4th of July Church Family BBQ is noon June 30 at 625 Georgia Ave. There will be hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans, coleslaw, chips, and dessert. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children grades 5 and younger. Those interested need to sign up at qrco.de by June 27.

Burke County’s 3rd of July is 6-10 p.m. July 3 at Jonathan Broxton Park in Waynesboro at 465 Burke Veterans Pkwy. There will be food trucks, games, and a fireworks show.

Fort Eisenhower’s Independence Day Celebration is 6-11 p.m. July 3 at Barton Field. Live music will be provided by country artist Chris Cagle and platinum-recording group Lonestar. There will also be food vendors and a kiddie carnival. Admission is free. Fireworks start at about 9:45 p.m. For more info, go to eisenhower.armymwr.com .
