AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – It is a very special day for a local veteran on Friday, June 28th.
Marvin Armour is a World War II veteran.
On June 28th, 2024, Armour celebrated his 100th birthday at the Georgia War Veterans nursing home in Augusta.
His family including his great grandson who just graduated from the Navel Academy was there.

The room was filled with people crossing paths with living history and the greatest generation.
Armour was given a t-shirt whit the U.S.S. Salimonie on it, and that is the World War II ship he was on.
