AUGUSTA – The NAACP Georgia State Conference will host the 82nd annual NAACP State Convention and Civil Rights Conference at the Augusta Marriott Convention Center Oct. 10-12. This year’s theme, “All In: Lifting Every Voice!” aims to unite youths and adults, civil rights leaders, activists, clergy, union leaders, industry experts, legislators, and community members from across Georgia. The convention will address key areas such as civic engagement, legal redress, financial literacy, labor, education, health, women’s rights and veterans’ assistance, empowering attendees to create meaningful change in their communities. The conference will culminate in a celebration of achievements, with a call-to-action keynote address by Derrick Johnson, National NAACP president and CEO, at the Freedom Fund Awards Gala.
