Paine College to host Atlanta attorney for Constitution Day

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – In recognition of Constitution Day, Paine College’s Humanities Department will host an Atlanta attorney in a public event on Wednesday.

Attorney Kayla J. Bumpus will speak at the event on Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. in the Gilbert Lambuth Chapel. Attorney Bumpus specializes in criminal defense, personal injury and family law in the metro Atlanta area. Bumpus’ appearance is sponsored by Georgia Shift.

“This is an opportunity for our students to connect with and hear from someone they may relate to, due to her involvement in a popular rapper’s case in Atlanta, and hopefully understand the importance of being registered to vote, and exercising that right”, said Professor Kimberly Baxter.
