Augusta woman, 36, fatally hit by car while cycling near her home

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office recently confirmed an Augusta woman was killed by a car while riding a bicycle near her home.

Troneisha Holiday, 36, of the 3600 block of Deans Bridge Road, was riding her bicycle Thursday on Deans Bridge Road, south of Morgan Road, when she was struck by a vehicle, according to a news release from the coroner’s office.

Holiday was pronounced dead on the scene at just after 10 p.m., according to the release.

An autopsy will not be performed, according to the coroner’s office.
