Woman arrested, accused of Elderly Neglect after mother found stuck to mattress

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – An Augusta woman is behind bars for allegedly neglecting her mother.

According to reports from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, Tyrossale Peak was the caregiver for her 84-year-old mother.

On December 30th, deputies were called to the home on the 2900 block of Rollingwood Drive for a welfare check.

Upon arrival, they spoke with Peak who said that her mother lost a lot of weight, but was well. She also told deputies that her mother was under hospice care and was last seen by a medical professional in June.
