AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – We should stay dry Saturday, before a strong front brings a line of strong to severe storms through the CSRA Sunday morning. For this reason, we have issued a FIRST ALERT to keep you prepared for the possibility of damaging winds and tornadoes Sunday morning between 3 AM and 11 AM.
Strong to severe thunderstorms look possible Sunday as the main front brings in a line of thunderstorms before lunchtime. Strong damaging winds looks to be the main concern with storms, but localized flooding and isolated tornadoes are also possible. The timing of storms looks most likely in the morning – starting between 3-5 AM – and exiting the CSRA to the east by noon.
