Police say dad wasn’t at ‘interview’ after viral arrest for leaving 3 kids at McDonald’s

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WKRC) – Authorities say a man wasn’t at a “job interview” after his arrest for leaving three children at McDonald’s gained traction on social media.

According to PEOPLE, 24-year-old Chris Louis, a father of three, was taken into custody in Augusta, Georgia on March 22 after authorities say his children, aged ten, six and one, were seen alone at a McDonald’s location for over an hour.

According to the publication, Louis was charged with deprivation of a minor (misdemeanor).

Support for Louis grew on social media as reports of the arrest circulated, with many defending the 24-year-old as a father supporting his children by trying to get a new job, PEOPLE reported…
