Suspect in Newton County Walmart shooting spree dies, deputies say

COVINGTON, Ga. — The man accused of killing two coworkers and hurting another in a shooting spree that began at a Newton County Walmart has died, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities say 24-year-old Dwayne Eduh died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a standoff with law enforcement in Aiken County, South Carolina. Deputies had previously said Eduh was in critical condition after the incident, but confirmed Sunday night that he passed away.
