FLORENE, S.C. (WBTW) — A 23-year-old man was arrested Wednesday by Florence police, who said he assaulted an ex-girlfriend while the two argued in a car in a Walmart parking lot in March.
Jahlil Dorsey of North Augusta, South Carolina, is charged with kidnapping and assault and battery in connection with the March 23 incident. As of Wednesday afternoon, he remained in the Florence County Detention Center, jail records showed.
According to a warrant, Dorsey and the woman were in Dorsey’s vehicle at the Walmart on N. Beltline Drive when they began arguing. The woman opened the door and tried to leave, but Dorsey pulled her back into the vehicle and started to drive away…
