Chefs from the best restaurants in the CSRA were invited to prepare their own specialty burgers; competing to be named the Burger Battle Champion.
Doctors Hospital of Augusta is investing more than $150 million to expand its operations in the CSRA. When completed, the expansions will add more than 110 full-time jobs.
Guests had to pay $100 to sample burgers from nine restaurants including, Abel Brown, Sno-Cap Drive in, Midtown Tavern, Recteq, Finch & Fifth, Edgar’s Grille, Tank N Taps, Cucina 503, and Sheehan’s Irish Pub.
“All of the money raised here from this event, whether through ticket sales or sponsorships, comes right back to our club and funds all the programming that we do here in the greater Augusta area,” Abigayle Kelley, the volunteer engagement coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club, says. “People are loving it, but they also love what we do here and it’s a fun way for them to get back and give back to their community through eating burgers.”…
