Man arrested after Augusta’s 3rd SWAT incident in 2 weeks

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – For the third time in less than two weeks, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team dealt with a barricaded subject.

The sheriff’s office says deputies and members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force attempted to arrest a federal fugitive at a home located on the 2000 block of Clark Street on Tuesday around 7 a.m.

Deputies say 58-year-old James Jackson was wanted for federal probation violations related to multiple narcotics and weapons possession charges…
