Here are the heroes: Richmond County sheriff honors exceptional law officers

Two deputies revived an overdose victim. A sergeant thwarted a person’s suicidal jump off the Fifth Street Bridge. A captain directed “seamless” security for the 2025 Masters Tournament.

Richmond County Sheriff Eugene Brantley recently honored all four officers “whose extraordinary actions and commitment to public service have made a lasting impact on our community,” the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office announced.

“These commendations reflect the heart of our mission — protecting lives, serving with integrity and strengthening trust with our community,” Brantley said. “We are proud of the selflessness, professionalism and courage shown by these exceptional members of our team.”…
