Georgia deputy shot in line of duty released from hospital

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. — A Columbia County deputy has been released from the hospital after he was shot over the weekend, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputy Gavin White was one of two deputies who were shot while trying to serve a temporary protective order on Saturday, according to WRDW/WAGT in Augusta.
