AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Showers and storms will be possible again Saturday, mainly in the afternoon into the night. The front will be closer Saturday and bring slightly higher severe weather chances. This is why we have issued a FIRST ALERT. Strong gusts and large hail will be possible in a few storms.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed the CSRA in its Level 1 to Level 2 risk for severe thunderstorms Saturday. Stay weather aware! Wind will be out of the southwest between 9-14 mph with higher gusts. Highs will be warm again in the lower to middle 80s.
The front will be slowly exiting the region Sunday and keep the chance for showers and storms mainly east of the CSRA during the day. Early showers will be possible Sunday morning , then mostly dry and less humid conditions return for the afternoon behind the front. Highs will be slightly cooler in the lower 80s with gusty winds out of the west to southwest at 10 to 15 mph…
