AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – On Sunday afternoon, Fort Eisenhower Exchange received a threatening message, prompting immediate security measures, including briefly closing access to the post and issuing a shelter in place for nearby activities, including the Candlewood Suites, according to officials.
The Department of Emergency Services responded, and at approximately 2:45 p.m., an all clear was issued and affected activities returned to normal operating status, officials say.
