Evans Elementary student facing criminal charges for knife on campus

EVANS, Ga. (WJBF) – Evans Elementary School sent a letter to parents Thursday about a student who was found with a knife on campus.

As stated in a May 8 letter from Principal Tonia Ellis, an investigation discovered a student to be in possession of a blade that was “was immediately secured by Columbia County School District Police.” The student who brought the knife “also reportedly made comments of a threatening nature against a student.”
